1. Our Commitment

1.1 GHOSTBOND Academy is committed to making its website, learning platform, courses and events usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

1.2 We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and with the harmonised European standard EN 301 549.

2. Legal Framework

2.1 As a business established in Ireland supplying e-commerce and digital services to consumers in the European Union, we are within the scope of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), which has applied to services placed on the market since 28 June 2025, as transposed in Ireland by the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023).

2.2 In the United States we take account of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the accessibility expectations applied to consumer-facing websites.

2.3 In the United Kingdom we take account of the Equality Act 2010.

3. Current Conformance Status

3.3 Method: automated scanning combined with manual keyboard and screen reader testing.

4. Accessibility Features

4.1 We aim to provide:

1. text alternatives for non-decorative images;
2. captions on all course video, and transcripts for audio content;
3. keyboard operability throughout the site and player, without keyboard traps;
4. visible focus indicators;
5. colour contrast meeting the minimum ratios in WCAG 2.2 AA;
6. resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function;
7. semantic headings, landmarks and correctly labelled form fields;
8. compatibility with current versions of common screen readers;
9. no content that flashes more than three times per second;
10. player controls including playback speed, volume, caption toggle and full-screen; and
11. downloadable course notes in an accessible format.

5. Known Limitations

6. In-Person Events

6.1 We ask about accessibility requirements at the point of event booking.

6.2 We will make reasonable adjustments where we can, which may include step-free access, seating arrangements, an assistant or interpreter, additional break time, or adjusted station height.

6.3 Some practical requirements — for example the safe use of sharps and solvents — cannot be adjusted away. Where we cannot make an event safe for a participant, we will say so clearly and provide a full refund or an alternative.

6.4 Venue accessibility information is published on each event page. Where we do not control the venue, we will obtain and pass on the venue’s own accessibility information.

6.5 Requirements you tell us about are health-related information and are handled under clause 3.7 of the Privacy and Data Collection Policy.

7. Feedback and Requests

7.1 If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need content in an alternative format, contact:

7.2 Please tell us the page or course, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use.

7.3 We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and respond substantively within 10 business days. Where we cannot resolve an issue immediately, we will tell you what we will do and by when, and offer an alternative means of accessing the content in the meantime.

8. Escalation

8.1 If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain under the Complaints and Dispute Resolution Policy.

8.2 EU consumers may also contact the market surveillance or compliance authority designated under the European Accessibility Act in their Member State. In Ireland, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is the market surveillance authority and the designated compliance authority for e-commerce services.

8.3 UK consumers may seek advice from the Equality Advisory and Support Service.

8.4 US consumers may contact us directly and, where they consider it necessary, the US Department of Justice.

9. Ongoing Work

9.1 Accessibility is reviewed as part of every significant platform release.

9.2 We carry out a full accessibility audit at least annually, and update this Statement after each audit.

9.3 New course video is captioned before publication.

9.4 Next scheduled review: 6 September 2027

10. Preparation of This Statement

10.1 This Statement was prepared on 6 September 2026.

10.2 It will be updated whenever a material change is made to the Academy platform or following each audit.
