GHOSTBOND Academy — Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines

Version 1.0 | Issued: 6 September 2026 | Effective from: 6 September 2026

This document forms part of the GHOSTBOND Academy Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1 GHOSTBOND Academy provides forums, Q&A areas, comment threads, portfolio uploads, live session chat and other community features so that professionals can learn from each other.

1.2 These Guidelines apply to all use of the Academy platform and to your conduct at Academy events, whether online or in person.

1.3 Breach of these Guidelines is a breach of the Terms and Conditions and may result in content removal, suspension, termination without refund, and revocation of any certificate issued.

2. Expected Standards

You agree to:

2.1 Treat educators, staff, models and other learners with respect.

2.2 Keep contributions relevant, constructive and professional.

2.3 Respect the privacy of clients and models — obtain informed consent before posting any image of an identifiable person, and never post a client’s personal or medical details.

2.4 Give credit where you share another person’s work, and only where you have the right to share it.

2.5 Follow reasonable instructions from educators and event staff, particularly on safety.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

3.1 Content protection

  1. record, screenshot, screen-capture, stream or reproduce any Academy Content;
  2. post Academy Content, or substantial summaries of it, to any external platform, group or drive;
  3. share your login credentials or post them anywhere;
  4. post links to pirated or leaked training material, whether ours or a competitor’s.

3.2 Unlawful and harmful content

  1. post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any intellectual property or privacy right;
  2. harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate any person;
  3. post content that is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, gender identity or reassignment, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital or civil status, family status, or membership of the Traveller community;
  4. post sexual content, or sexualised commentary about any person;
  5. post content involving or directed at minors that is inappropriate in any way;
  6. impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation, qualification or certification status.

3.3 Safety and product misuse

  1. advise or encourage any unsafe practice, including use of a product outside its instructions for use, application to broken or irritated skin, or omission of a required patch test;
  2. recommend or promote counterfeit, decanted, relabelled or grey-market adhesive or removal products;
  3. provide medical, dermatological or trichological advice you are not qualified to give;
  4. share formulations, decanting instructions or “dupe” recipes for any professional product.

3.4 Commercial conduct

  1. advertise, spam, or solicit business from other learners without our prior written permission;
  2. recruit learners to a competing training programme;
  3. use the community to collect other learners’ contact details for marketing;
  4. operate multiple accounts, or an account on behalf of another person.

3.5 Technical conduct

  1. introduce malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform;
  2. scrape, crawl, index or bulk-download Academy Content or user data;
  3. use Academy Content or User Content to train, fine-tune or develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning system;
  4. circumvent any technical protection measure, watermark, session limit or geographic restriction.

4. Moderation

4.1 We are not obliged to monitor community content, but we may review, moderate, edit, restrict, demote or remove content at our discretion.

4.2 Where we remove content or restrict an account, we will give the affected user a statement of reasons, unless the content is manifestly illegal or we are legally prevented from doing so.

4.3 Enforcement is proportionate and may escalate: informal warning → content removal → temporary suspension → permanent termination.

4.4 We may act immediately and without warning where content is manifestly illegal, poses a safety risk, or involves piracy of Academy Content.

5. Reporting Content

5.1 Any person may report content by emailing hello@ghostbondacademy.com or using the in-platform report function, including:

  1. a link to or description of the content;
  2. an explanation of why it is illegal or breaches these Guidelines;
  3. their name and contact email (except for reports of certain criminal offences, where anonymity is permitted); and
  4. a statement that the report is made in good faith and is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

5.2 We will confirm receipt, assess the report in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and notify the reporter of our decision and the reasons for it.

5.3 Copyright and trade mark complaints are handled under the Intellectual Property and Anti-Piracy Policy.

6. Appeals

6.1 If we remove your content, suspend your account or terminate your access, you may appeal within 30 days by replying to our notification or emailing hello@ghostbondacademy.com.

6.2 Appeals are reviewed by a person not involved in the original decision. We will respond within 15 business days and give reasons.

6.3 Where we uphold your appeal, we will restore the content or access promptly.

6.4 Where you are a user in the EU, you may also be entitled to refer a dispute about a content decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act). This does not affect your right to go to court.

7. Misuse of the Reporting and Appeals Process

7.1 We may suspend, for a reasonable period and after prior warning, the handling of reports or appeals from any person who repeatedly submits manifestly unfounded ones.

7.2 We may suspend the account of any user who frequently posts manifestly illegal content.

8. Conduct at Events

8.1 The standards above apply at all Academy events.

8.2 In addition, at in-person events you must not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs, must not handle another participant’s model without consent, and must comply with the Participation, Safety and Assumption of Risk Terms.

8.3 We may remove any person from an event for breach. No refund is payable.
